It’s time to register for the Fall ’22/Spring ’23 season! https://whsoccerclub.demosphere-secure.com/_registration_login See you in the fall! Is someone in your household 13 or older and interested in becoming a soccer referee? Now’s a great time to look into the Grassroots First-Time Referee course. During the Fall 2021 soccer season, there was a severe shortage of referees across the Madison area, the state, and the country. You can help address that shortage, as new referee certification courses are now open ahead of the Spring 2022 season. The Grassroots First-Time Referee course is for candidates who haven’t previously been registered as a referee, or for previously registered referees who have let their registration lapse. The total cost of the course is $70-100, depending on the referee’s age. However, successful candidates will receive a full reimbursement of their registration fee from the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association, plus a 10-piece referee uniform starter kit. Additionally, the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association offers a $50 bonus to first-year referees after they have officiated their first five MAYSA league games. And, referees who officiate 10 MAYSA league games or more receive a $65 bonus after completing their re-certification course the following offseason. Hi All, It’s time for soccer registration! The safety of our players and coaches is a high priority for us so please be aware that during the season we may need to put practices on hold due to player or coach exposure to COVID-19. We will also be suspending practices or games if WI Heights school district suspends in-person schooling based on each age group. The documents detailing our health and safety plans are available on this site We’ll be sharing our resources on returning to play in this post. As we get new information we will update this post. New mask guidelines – Effective Saturday 5/22/2021WHSC is following the Capitol North Conference’s mask wearing guidelines. Earlier this week Capitol North Conference dropped the mask requirement for players in active play, but will continue to require the wearing of masks for players and coaches on the sidelines. These rules are for both games and practices. Any facility or venue rules that require stricter mask wearing policies will supersede WHSC’s mask wearing guidance. Other documentsDear Wisconsin Heights soccer club players and families, Sadly, we won’t be playing soccer this fall. MAYSA met on last week and decided there would be no formal games. The soccer club board met met afterwards and decided we wouldn’t hold practice this fall either. If you paid for registration for the upcoming 2020/2021 season, you will be getting your money fully refunded. Look for another email from us sometime around the beginning of the new year when we open registration for the spring season. We hope to see you in the spring. Please contact me if you have any questions, Hi All, As of right now the season will not start until early June and could extend to 7/12/2020. As we learn more from WYSA and MAYSA we will update you. We know that everyone’s commitments change in the summer, weekends are full of different activities, and it’s hot out! MAYSA and our coaches will be doing their best to make sure that everyone will play as much as they’re able and we get in as many games as we can. Best, |
